• Cedar Grove, the Thomas Cole National Historic Site is currently seeking volunteer docents to conduct tours of the house and studio. We are also recruiting Carol T. Savage Art Trail Docents for our exciting new hiking program in the Catskill Mountains on the Hudson River School Art Trail . Cedar Grove docents impart meaningful information about the life, relationships and works of the 19th-century artist Thomas Cole, founder of the Hudson River School approach to painting.

The Lisa Libraries
The Lisa Libraries donates books to underprivileged children. Donation sites include foster care agencies, homeless shelters and battered women's shelters.
Volunteers needed to assist in all aspects of preparing books for donation, including selecting books, packing boxes, entering data into computer.  Computer skills not necessary to volunteer.  Handicapped accessible, seniors welcome and appreciated. Volunteer days Tuesday thru Thursday.

SENIOR SERVICES


Jewish Family Services

Nonprofit, nonsectarian agency concerned with the mental health of seniors. JFS is the only agency in the county who sends licensed mental health social workers to the home of our clients.  We are also running three Caregivers groups: in Kingston, New Paltz and Saugerties.  We have two other programs one for Grandparents Raising Grandchildren and a mentoring program called Project Hope.  We are always in need of volunteers to drive seniors to appointments and visit and call the homebound.  Our address is
